With all of the needs here in the valley, these folks are going to spend money on a 40 plus mile golf cart pathway under the pretense of relieving congestion on Highway 111 and helping to reduce polution. 1/18/12 Just last weekend, about 57 prisoners were released in Riverside County as the jails ran out of beds. This is a result of the state's Prison Realignment program which is diverting certain "low level" offenders back to the counties to serve their sentences. (and do you really want one?)Technology can be a good thing -- depending on who is using it and how they are using it. Southern California Edison (SCE) is in the process of replacing existing analog electric meters with digital faced meters that are named Smart Meters in their service area. Smart Meters will collect a home's power use data and homeowners are asking many questions that SCE has not adequately addressed. Concerns include: Safety issues - Who can access the data? - How the data will be used (Privacy)? - Who is to pay for the costly upgrades that are involved?.
